Edward Elgar: The Shower, op. 71, no. 1 (SATB)

Available as digital sheet music and as a printed score

Score of Edward Elgar's The Shower

Elgar dedicated 'The Shower' to a former neighbour in Malvern, but the inspiration for it may have come from the place-name Elgar put below the final bar, Mill Hill, which recalled for him an afternoon spent in what was then countryside with his friend Alice Stuart-Wortley. The words are by the 17th-century poet Henry Vaughan.

The sheet music for 'The Shower' is available as a digital download (PDF file) or printed score from BiblioFox's sheet music shop.
