Edward Elgar: The Fountain, op. 71, no. 2 (SATB)

Elgar composed 'The Fountain' in 1914. The song seems to have been inspired by a visit to Totteridge, then a rural parish north of London, which Elgar made with his wife in 1913. The words are by the 17th-century poet Henry Vaughan.
